Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Psy 21289 (California Board of Psychology)

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist and have been helping kids, adults and families for 20 years.

I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Michigan.  While in Ann Arbor, I worked extensively with children, teenagers, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety and family conflicts.  My postdoctoral specialization from the University of California, San Francisco included addiction medicine and adolescent depression and suicide.

I spent several years as a professor and clinician at hospitals and universities in California and Singapore.  My experiences span from working with elementary to university student and faculty, children’s hospitals, medical schools and community mental health clinics.  I also supervised professional and graduate students.

I grew up in California but was originally from Taiwan and speak Mandarin fluently.  I usually love to travel and sample new food but during the COVID months, I’ve been experimenting with new recipes at home with my family.  (It doesn’t always turn out great but luckily my family is always hungry and will eat just about anything!)
